Sir Christopher Wren (1632–1723) was one of England’s greatest polymaths—an anatomist, astronomer, geometer, mathematician, and the most celebrated architect of his age. After the Great Fire of London, Wren was responsible for rebuilding 52 churches across the City, culminating in his masterpiece: St Paul’s Cathedral, completed in 1710.
