Holman Hunt’s Light of the World is one of the most recognised religious paintings of the modern era, rich in symbolism and spiritual meaning. Depicting Christ knocking on a closed door — a symbol of the human heart — the painting reflects the message that God enters only when invited.

This poster reproduces the third and final version of the work, completed with assistance from Edward Robert Hughes. Considered the culmination of Hunt’s vision, this version hangs in St Paul’s Cathedral. The earlier versions are housed at Keble College, Oxford and Manchester Art Gallery.

Measuring 42 × 60 cm, the poster includes the inscription:

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock…” (Revelation 3:20)
