Handel's "Messiah" is a renowned English-language oratorio composed in 1741 by George Frideric Handel. The libretto, crafted by Charles Jennens, draws extensively from the King James Bible and the Coverdale Psalter. Its inaugural performance took place in Dublin on April 13, 1742, and it has since become a staple in the classical music repertoire.
