Sandy Cunningham - View of St Paul's from Ludgate Hill 1967
View of St Paul’s from Ludgate Hill, 1967 is a beautifully atmospheric night scene painted by Sandy Cunningham while working near St Paul’s Cathedral. Captured from Ludgate Circus, the painting depicts the original railway bridge on Ludgate Hill, which was replaced by a tunnel in 1990.
Distributed by Sandy’s son, Euan Cunningham, this work is part of a touching father-son collection. In 2025, Euan revisited the same vantage point to recreate the scene, forging both an emotional and historical connection between the past and present.
