This landmark release in the acclaimed English Anthems series captures both the splendour and depth of the Anglican choral tradition.

The album brings together a rich and varied programme of sacred music — from the sixteenth-century serenity of John Sheppard’s “Libera nos” to beloved works by Wesley, Stanford, Stainer, and Parry. Complementing these classics are contemporary compositions by John Rutter, Christopher Dearnley, John Scott, and Dobrinka Tabakova, whose radiant Praise was first performed at St Paul’s Cathedral for the Queen’s Golden Jubilee celebrations.
